CelloFest Masterclass with Astrid Schween
During cellist Kate Dillingham’s preparation of J.S. Bach’s Sonata for Viola da Gamba and Keyboard in G Major for a New York recital debut in 2002, she arranged to play for her teacher Bernard Greenhouse. Upon hearing her, he offered his yellowed and fraying copy of the Sonatas for her further study. Ms. Dillingham says, “I was already familiar with, and greatly admired, his recordings of these works; to have his own score in my hands was tremendously exciting.” Read more
